Tegucigalpa, Jul 7 (Prensa Latina) Popular organizations joined in a Front against the coup perpetrated in Honduras are to redouble peaceful rallies to restore the constitutional order in the country.

Union, rural, student, and youth leaders, as well as those from others sectors of the society met Monday night with that aim.

The meeting’s decisions will be revealed on Tuesday.

The Front stated that those demonstrations and other expressions of repudiation of the military coup that overthrew Constitutional President Manuel Zelaya on June 28, will continue for the tenth consecutive day until the coupists’ defeat.

Media was not present in the final moment of the gathering, due to the curfew from 22:00 local hour to 06:00 of the following day, when several constitutional guarantees are suspended.

Honduras First Lady Xiomara Castro attended the meeting, and exhorted people to continue peaceful resistance.

Xiomara Castro expects to participate today in the capital’s rally. She will demand the return of President Zelaya, who made a bid for entering the nation two days ago.
