CHICAGO — If you’ve ever had a cup of coffee or know someone who drinks it, you won’t want to miss “Black Gold,” a British documentary directed by Marc and Nick Francis. The film will get its Chicago premiere at the Gene Siskel Film Center Oct. 13-19. And if you thought that Ethiopia is a huge sand land, this film will convince you that it’s Shangri La. Just makes you more mad that coffee growers are getting 8 cents of each $5 you or your friends are paying at Starbucks or any place you get your drug of choice.
