DALLAS -The Dallas Peace Center is picketing Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchinson’s office on 10440 North Central Expressway, 10 a.m. to noon every Saturday in October as we begin the ninth year of America’s longest war, Afghanistan.
On Oct. 10, the antiwar activists were joined by a contingent from the Libertarian Party of Texas. Their 2008 presidential candidate, Rep. Ron Paul of Surfside, Texas, has the “cleanest record” of voting against war and war funding. Of course, he votes against everything else that involves government spending.
The Libertarians joined in happily on the activities, including TV interviews and most of the chants. They didn’t join “Money for health care, not for war,” because they don’t want government money spent on it.
Organizer Hadi Jawad thanked everyone for participating and invited them back for the next three Saturdays.
