WHITTIER, Calif. – After a job loss, unemployment and her husband’s unexpected death about 18 months ago, Virginia Hosking received an abrupt notice from Bank of America that they foreclosed on her home she and her husband had lived in for 30 years. (See video below.) When Rep. Linda Sanchez called and questioned Bank of America, the bank spokesperson claimed they had been working with Hosking’s husband to amend payments during the previous 12 months. Mr. Hosking had passed away months before then. Whittier residents joined with others from surrounding communities at the Hosking family home to show support and to spread the word about the injustice Bank of America has done as part of the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday and community service day, Jan. 16.
