Submission Guidelines
We invite submissions of news and news analysis articles; opinion and commentary pieces; photographs and videos; book, film, theater, and music reviews; and other items of interest.
Submission is no guarantee of publication. People’s World receives a large number of submissions, and while we strive to respond to every one, it is not always possible.
News or news analysis articles are typically 1,000-1,800 words, while op-eds and reviews are 800-1,200 words. Photo or video submissions should include a description of their content and can be sent in conjunction with article submissions. All submissions should be sent to the Editors at contact@peoplesworld.org. Potential contributors are strongly encouraged to contact the Editors with a query or proposal for an article, rather than with a finished manuscript.
New and prospective writers should read A Guide to Writing for People’s World.
All contributors should refer to the People’s World Style Guide to ensure proper formatting of their drafts before submission.
Those looking to contribute photographs should consult: Submitting Photos to People’s World: Basic Guidelines.
People’s World reserves the right to edit and/or reject submissions for length, factual and grammatical accuracy, clarity, and appropriateness of subject matter. We do not publish material that is defamatory or disparages any person or group on account of race, ethnic or national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or health status, religious affiliation, or age.
Opinion articles and other commentary pieces published in People’s World reflect the views of their authors. Only Editorials express the institutional voice and opinion of People’s World.
Submissions should be sent to our Editorial Office at contact@peoplesworld.org. Please see guidelines below.
Las presentaciones para Mundo Popular deben enviarse a nuestra Oficina Editorial a contact@peoplesworld.org.
