Can you help put the People’s World fund drive over the top?

Thanks to the contributions of readers around the country, we have raised $165,000 this year for People’s World. More than $130,000 of that total was donated by May Day. Thank you! Our goal for the Fall component of the Fund Drive is to bring in another $35,000 by Dec. 31, and there’s $10,000 in so far.

We’re writing today to ask for your help to get us over the top. During our fall campaign, we’re asking our comrades, friends, and supporters to consider making regular contributions. A monthly contribution of just $5, $10, or $20 would go a long way toward stabilizing our finances.

As of this writing, People’s World has 200 monthly contributors. We’re striving to reach 300 by the end of the year. Won’t you be one of the next hundred to sign up? If you’re already a sustainer, have you thought about increasing your monthly contribution?

People’s World provides daily reporting on the top issues facing our country’s working class and people at this crucial moment. As you know, the Trump administration, anticipating a GOP defeat in the midterms, is rushing to consolidate power—using all the means at its disposal, including ICE, the military, and the Justice Department. They have canceled collective bargaining rights for 1.3 million workers, deployed troops against citizens and non-citizens alike, and attacked universities and businesses, causing many to capitulate.

But People’s World will not bow down.

We continue to bring you fresh, independent updates and analysis of ongoing struggles, both domestic and international. This is made possible by your donations. In other words, we won’t back down because you won’t back down.

Your resistance is demonstrated time and again, from the streets of L.A. to the neighborhoods of Chicago, D.C., and New York City, and in small and medium-sized cities all across the country. Around the nation, you’re rising up and fighting back against MAGA’s Project 2025 agenda.

That’s important because it will take a mass movement to halt Trump’s threat to peace and democracy.

People’s World not only reports on this mass movement but is also part of it, giving voice to its demands and views. We will be there with you on the streets for No Kings Day on Oct. 18.

Together, we will not allow free speech to be stamped out or workers’ right to organize and assemble to be revoked. Together, we can beat back the fascist, sexist, racist, and homophobic attacks.

Thank you for your generous support.

In solidarity,

Rossana Cambron – CPUSA Co-Chair

Anita Waters – National Organization Secretary, CPUSA

Joe Sims – CPUSA Co-Chair, People’s World Senior Editor
