Madison, Wis. – On day 6 of the peaceful occupation of the Wisconsin Capital, Steelworkers president Leo Gerard led a delegation of union members into the Capital Rotunda. Speaking to the crowd (see video below) Gerard brought solidarity messages from union federations around the world including Britain, Germany, Brazil, and Australia.
Speaking for millions of industrial workers around the world, Gerard told the crowd, “We stand with you! Not only is America watching, the world is watching. All over the world workers are fighting the same fight.”
