With civil rights, labor rights, and human rights are under severe attack, the independent working class press is needed more than ever. People’s World reports the news with a working class perspective. With a very small staff, the publication attracts between 150,000 to 200,000 readers every month. Every year, it reaches millions of people, without billionaire benefactors or corporate sponsors.
People’s World writers have been on the ground covering not only the crimes of the administration, but also the people’s resistance to it. From the Target Boycott to protest DEI rollbacks to the Minnesota General Strike in the wake of the murders of Renée Good and Alex Pretti by ICE, our publication has been committed to reporting the fightback against fascist policies.
To keep the socialist press online and available during this crucial time, we’ve launched the 2026 Fund Drive—and as part of the effort, we’re bringing back the People’s World May Day Greetings Book.
We have to raise substantial funds this year to keep PW going, and the May Day Greetings Book is a great way to support our daily publication while also broadcasting a message of your choice to readers across the country and around the world.
In each of the last three years, supporters have bought $10,000 worth of ads celebrating working-class heroes and historic wins for labor and democracy. As you prepare for your local International Worker’s Day festivities, think about what you want to celebrate in this year’s edition of the national People’s World May Day Greetings Book.
