Call, write, or visit your U.S. Senators and Representative to demand that Congress take immediate action to reverse the Supreme Court’s outright dismantling of the Voting Rights Act. This act was won by the courage and united action of thousands in the South and across the country, Black and white, who marched and died to overcome historic racism and exclusion and win dignity and the basic right to vote.
Our democracy depends on equality of representation for all. The John R. Lewis Voting Rights Enhancement Act was introduced to restore the enforcement measures that were removed by a Supreme Court serving the interests of white supremacist billionaires instead of the people.
