Stop the SAVE Act—Uphold the Right to Vote
Call, write, or visit your U.S. Representative and Senators to demand that the basic democratic right to vote be protected for every voter. Congress must intervene as threats of federal interference in voting escalate against Black and Latino communities and districts that vote historically Democratic. No imposed federal oversight, troops in the street, elimination of mail-in voting, or racist gerrymandering. Investigate the Department of Justice deployment of partisan “election monitors” to intimidate voters. Pass the Redistricting Reform Act to ban mid-decade redistricting and require independent redistricting commissions.
Senators must reject the SAVE Act which would create new barriers shutting out millions of eligible voters. Enact the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Enhancement Act for comprehensive protections now.
