Kevin Basl

Kevin Basl was in the U.S. Army from 2003 to 2008 and was deployed to Iraq twice, where he served as a mobile radar operator. Upon his return, he came to view the war as unjust and became a leader in Iraq Veterans Against the War. A writer, musician, and artist, Basl is now an instructor in two veterans arts organizations, Warrior Writers and Combat Paper NJ.
