Mahmoud Khalil, a student activist in the Columbia University Palestine campus occupations, was abducted from his New York City apartment by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents on March 8, 2025.
Khalil, a legal permanent U.S. resident who is married to a U.S. citizen, is a prominent Palestinian activist and played a central role in protests against the Israel-Hamas war on the Ivy League campus last year. Born in 1995, nationality is Palestinian and Syrian, and education is Columbia University (2024), Lebanese American University.
