Communist journalist Assaf Talgam exposes truth about war and occupation – from inside Israel
Assaf Talgam, managing editor of Zo Haderekh, Hebrew-language newspaper of the Israeli Communist Party. | Taylor Dorrell / People's World

Assaf Talgam, managing editor of the Israeli Communist Party newspaper Zo Haderekh, talks with People’s World reporter Taryn Fivek about what it’s like as a Communist journalist resisting the occupation and the assault on Gaza under wartime conditions and the intense repression of the Netanyahu government. Together with his colleagues at the Arab-language Al-Ittihad newspaper, they overcome the censorship of a right-wing state that is determined to keep the world in the dark about what’s really happening.
