Tomorrow: Join Google Hangout on “Gaza ceasefire: What now?”

Join People’s World co-editor Susan Webb Thursday morning, in a conversation and call to action with peace activist and leader of the Communist Party of Israel Uri Weltmann on Gaza and whether Israel-Palestinian peace is possible.

Weltmann was an organizer of the July 19 joint Jewish-Arab national peace demonstration in Israel’s northern city of Haifa. His article about the Netanyahu government “Upon the fire of war, they pour gasoline” was published in the Israeli daily, Haaretz, and translated to English and republished on peoplesworld.org. Weltmann also published “The long road to Gaza,” an in depth analysis of the strategy of the Netanyahu government to deepen the occupation and the role of the United States in the conflict, which is available on the CPI’s English language website.
