Fietje Ausländer lives in Weener, a small town in northwestern Germany. For 30 years he worked as a historian, educator, and archivist at the “Documentation and Information Center Emsland Camps,” where he curated several CD productions, including the edition of the “Peat Bog Soldiers.” Today he works as a volunteer for the center.
